There’s really nothing better than a fresh strawberry, unless that strawberry is made into a sauce and poured over homemade pasta.
Here’s how:
Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. pasta
- 2 Cups fresh strawberries
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 Tbsp. sugar in the raw
- 1 Tbsp. white balsamic vinegar
- 1 tsp. of flour
- Salt to taste
- 1/4 Cup Pecorino Romano cheese
- Fresh cracked pepper
Instructions
- Prepare pasta.
- Rinse the strawberries, remove stems, and slice. Set aside a few slices for garnish.
- Puree the strawberries.
- Melt the butter over low heat and add strawberry puree.
- Add sugar, vinegar and flour.
- Turn heat up to medium low and stir until fully the sugar, vinegar and flour are fully incorporated.
- Add cheese and salt to taste.
- Serve hot over pasta with a few twists of fresh cracked pepper, strawberry slices, and cheese.
